Alaska Ling Cod Fishing

I really enjoyed my stay here at the lodge. The rooms were comfortable and spacious while the food was delectable and toasty! The service was impeccable we all appreciated your gracious hospitality. Thanks again and I hoe to come back to the lodge again someday.

This is my 3rd trip to Alaska and it is certainly the best all you have done to create this lodge as a special place is really working. Chris and Ellen are unbelievable Chefs and all staff are the most friendly and welcoming people you could ever meet.

One of the fastest growing facets of Alaskan fishing is Ling Cod fishing. Halibut Cove Lodge is an Alaskan fishing lodge with access to some of the best fresh and saltwater fishing grounds in the world.

The Ling Cod fishing season begins on July 1, and there is a 35 inch minimum retention limit on Ling Cod, although the majority of Lings which we see are much larger then that. Ling Cod are found in the saltwaters which are so close to our lodge. Halibut/Ling Cod combination charters are common fishing charters and most frequently land good results.

One of the greatest qualities of Halibut Cove is our close proximity to the saltwater grounds where halibut and Ling Cod are found as well as to freshwaters where Silver and King Salmon are found. This flexibility affords us great control in arranging Alaska fishing trips which will never be forgotten.
