Alaska hosts a wide variety of salmon, which annually attract thousands of visitors to Alaskan waters. From secluded streams and lakes to the murky depths of the Cook Inlet, salmon provide joy and excitement to fishermen of all persuasions.

Silver salmon season starts August 1st and end September 30th with the peak of the run being August 10th through the 31st. This season also happens to be one of the most beautiful and enjoyable times of the year to be outside. King Salmon fishing is also quite popular at this time of the year, offering some spectacular yields.
