Notes: Transfers to and from Homer are on your own. Assistance can be provided on booking a rental car or roundtrip airline ticket to/from Anchorage and Homer. The price does not include alcoholic beverages, gratuities or fishing license. Should you need a fishing license you may purchase one at several locations including Homer before water taxing to the lodge.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Homer on your own. Meet at 1:00pm at ramp 2 by the Harbor Master’s office. Staff will assist you with your luggage and direct you to your boat for your 45-minute scenic boat ride to Halibut Cove Lodge. Along the way keep an eye out for sea otters, seals, and a variety of seabirds while taking in the magnificent scenery of Kachemak Bay. Upon arrival at the lodge, the staff will provide a warm welcome, show you to your cabin and assist with your luggage. The rest of your afternoon is free to enjoy beachcombing, hiking, shore fishing, reading a book or just relaxing. Then prepare your appetite for some true Alaskan four to five course gourmet dinner in an intimate yet casual atmosphere. Salmon, halibut, scallops and oysters touched with distinctive sauces are standard fare for dinner each night. After dinner enjoy the sauna or just relax in the main lodge’s living room next to a wood burning fire.
Day 2

Depending on the activity that has been selected for the day, a wake-up knock on your cabin door will be provided along with fresh coffee at your doorstep to start off your day. Breakfast will be served at your leisure and based on the activity that you choose each day.
We will work with each guest to create a specific itinerary that includes activities and adventures that meet their needs and expectations. So get ready to spend the day beachcombing, hiking, shore fishing, reading a book or just relaxing or choose from one of the following optional activities for the day at an additional cost:
- Sea Kayaking - $200.00 per person
- Glacier Lake Kayaking - $200.00 per person
- Gallery Tour & Lunch at Halibut Cove - $200.00 per person
- Wildlife Cruise - $200.00 per person
- Fishing (Halibut or Salmon Fishing) – Fishing license not included – Starting at $225.00 per person
- Combo Fishing (Halibut and Salmon Fishing) – Fishing license not included. – Starting at $250.00 per person
- Mountain Biking – $200.00 per person
- Floatplane Flightseeing (1.5 hour excursion) - $250.00 per person
- Spa Service to include a Massage, Facial, etc. and transfer to/from the Lodge to Homer - $250.00 per person
- Bear Viewing – $600.00 per person
- Fly Out Fishing – There is an additional charge for this activity - please call for pricing as the price varies based on availability of fish in the area.
Mountain bikers will enjoy pedaling the high steeps of the Alaskan wilderness, cruising along rivers jumping with salmon, zipping among wildflowers and wild berries, cresting at vistas of volcanoes, inlets, and soaking up views of the Gulf of Alaska and Kachemak Bay.
Those interested in hiking can take advantage of Halibut Cove Lodge's proximity to Kachemak Bay State Park's well-developed and maintained trail system. Hike up to the foot of a glacier and reward yourself with a tasty lunch. Or, head in to a secluded creek area loaded with salmon, or a remote lake flush with rainbow trout.
For heart-pumping adventures of a different nature, get face-to-face with Alaskan wildlife on a Brown Bear viewing trip, or feel the rush of witnessing a three-ton Humpback Whale breeching or a pod of Orcas on the hunt while you're on a whale-watching excursion.
Or, of course, you can simply relax with the tranquility of a walk along the tide pools or listen carefully to the soothing sounds of waves gently rippling on the beach. You can escape with a good book, and relinquish yourself to the first-class accommodations and exceptional service that set Halibut Cove Lodge apart.
Lunch each day will be packed for you to take with you on your excursion or served at Halibut Cove Lodge.
A gourmet dinner will be served each evening at the lodge. After dinner guest can relax in the sitting area of the main lodge, enjoy a great cigar or scotch on the deck while taking in the magnificent views of Kachemak Bay or eagles soaring overhead, or relax in the sauna.
Departure Day
A wake-up knock on your cabin door will be provided along with fresh coffee at your doorstep to start off your day. Breakfast will be served prior to departing the lodge on your water taxi ride back to Homer.

Reservations/Payment/Cancellation
Policy
A 50% deposit is required
to confirm reservations. The balance is
due 30 days prior to arrival date. For
reservations made after April 1 st , full
balance is due to confirm reservations.
In addition to cash and checks, Halibut
Cove Lodge accepts Visa, Master Card, and
American Express.
Packages do not include gratuities,
alcohol, fishing licenses, king salmon
stamps, or cancellation insurance policy.
All cancellations will be
assessed a $100 per/person fee. Cancellations
made less than sixty days prior to arrival
date will be assessed a cancellation fee
equal to 50% of the total package price.**Cancellations
made less than thirty days prior to arrival
date will be assessed a cancellation fee
equal to 100% of the total package price.** Halibut
Cove Lodge recommends the purchase of vacation
insurance. Halibut Cove Lodge
cannot be held responsible for loss of
fishing time, adventure time, lodging,
flight delays, or any other charges incurred
due to weather conditions.
** Halibut
Cove Lodge will apply cancellation fees
towards re-bookings within one year of
original arrival date. **
