Trolling with rigged herring is the favored method of fishing in salt water, while lures and salmon eggs are used by freshwater anglers. The sport fishing harvest of Chinook Salmon is almost 80,000 annually, with Cook Inlet and adjacent watersheds contributing over half of the catch. King Salmon fishing is some of the most exciting and rewarding fishing in North America.
